Bees and other pollinators

Darwin studied bees and other pollinators for his book On the various contrivances by which British and foreign orchids are fertilised by insects and in various articles on plant fertlisation. He engaged his children to follow bees and see which flowers they preferred to visit in their garden at Down House.
